Introduction
The expulsion of Jews from Oran (West of Algeria) in 1669 by Spanish occupation has received relatively little scholarly attention, although this event had profound consequences on the Jewish community in North Africa.
From this historical context, our manuscript was written in Judeo-Arabic in majority, and in Hebrew and in Aramaic and in Arabic, the text is from Bodleian Library, it was composed from 90 Muwashah and Zajel.
This text appeared in the middle of the Jewish community in Oran during the Spanish occupation (16 and 17 century) and this manuscript is part of a five- volume named “Mahazor Oran” written by different persons and in a different places (Oran, Mediterranean-Livorno …), also this manuscript embedded the Sephardic identity and in the Diaspora context in crossing the boundaries of Medieval Mediterranean.
